Sensational move ments of money which Jumped from 8 to 16 par cent and ttten, back to in minimum rate and the precarious condi tions attending the International credit situation effected another downward, re vision of prices on the stock exchange today. in the course or tn "reaaiustmenf during which speculative issues, notably motors, oils and steels, registered extreme declines of 3 to 15 points, many margined accounts were closed out. Indicating that some of the soft spots created by last months upheaval still remained. To a considerable, extent today's liquida tion was Impelled by the action of the Federal Reserve bank, which late yester day announced another advance of U of 1 per cent interest ann rediscount ratei. Apart from this consideration, however, the market had to reckon with further foreign offerings, especially of high grade rails, these again being attributed to tho depreciation of exchange on London. BritlHh demands bills fell to the low level of $2.66 a fraction of a cent un der yesterday's low, but other foreign re mittances, especially francs and llres, sug gested that action was being taken abroad to chock the demoralizing decline. The rally of the last half hour was not wholly due to the relaxation of money rates, the short Interest doubtless cover ing some, of its contracts on the showing made by the government crop report. This was especially favorable as to cora and winter whea', In which final esti mates were much In excess of the five year average. Sales amounted to 1,376,000 shares. ' Bonds were heavy to weak, In compar ing with the movement of th stock mar ket, speculative rails adding from frac tions to a point to their recent steady de cline. Anxiety td even up trades so as- to avoid any surprise In the government crop report rallied the corn market today from bearish effects of dis turbed financial conditions. The close, however, was unsettled, ranging from o pet decline to a like advance, January $l.J5-to $1.35 and May $1.33 to $1.82. Oats finished o off to a gain of a shade. In provisions th outcome varied from 5 cents loss to a rise ot 45c. Corn underwent' at first a leclded eet back chiefly a a result of sympathy with Nsw Tork stock market wsakness. In addition, the continued record-breaking tumble ot foreign exchange rates tended to Increase bearish sentiment, and ao likewise did liberal recelpta of corn. Selling, though, was overdone, snd In view ot the fact that the government report was to be Issued soon after the close of trading operations here the majority of dealers found themselves In competition as buyers during 'the last hour. Oats were governed by the fluctuatlona of corn. Articles Open High I Low Close Tes'y Corn. Deo. Msy July Oats. Dec. May July Pork. May Jan. Lard. Jan. May Ribs.
