' Statements for many classes of taxes, both city and county, can not be furnished for several weeks or months, Treasurer Endres an- nounced yesterday, because of the destruction of many records in the court house tire. Complete state ments on curbing and paving assess ments cannot be made before Janu ary 1, 1920, but payments can be made now, subject to correction. Statements of assessments for sewer, sidewalk, grading, boulevard -and miscellaneous assessments can '. be furnished and receipts issued No vember 15, 1919. Statements of 1918 county taxes cannot be furnished before March 1. 1920, but payments can be made and receipts issued if the person is satisfied that the 1918 county taxes are unpaid. Records for all years prior to 1918 are intact. Payments . can be made and statements fur nished for any and all city real es tate taxes now due. Statements cannot be furnished for redemption from tax sales be fore November 10, 1919. Statements for county personal taxes (except 1919) cannot be fur nished before May 1. 1920. Adv, Thirty Boy Scouts Attend Funeral of Franklin Patterson Thirty Boy Scouts of Troop 5 attended the funeral services yes terday afternoon for their former comrade, Franklin Patterson, 16-year-old Central high school student, who shot himself last Saturday night while attending a party. Burial was in Forest Lawn ceme tery. Eight of Patterson's class mates acted as pallbearers. They were: Carl and D. L. Dimond. I . .. . wir. mngers Resolution on Coulter Laid Over One Week A resolution fey Police Commis sioner Ringer, calling for the dis missal of William Coulter from the police department, was laid over by the city council yesterday, for con sideration next week. Mr. Coulter, patrolman, 1 was tried before the council on charges and was exon erated by a majority of the commis sioners in executive session. Mr. Ringer's minority report reads that Coulter "uttered violent, coarse and insulting language toward "his su perior, Mayor Ed. P. Smith, . and should be discharged from the po lice department." Alleges Her Husband Gave 50 Cents a Day Household Expenses Judge Troup in divorce court yes terday granted Mrs. Anna Fonarow a divorce from Wolf Fonarow, gave her the furniture in their home, Twenty-seventh and Seward streets, and $150 for alimony. He heard the evidence last Tuesday. Wolf, a widower with four little children in Europe, met and wedded his present wife last February. By eight years of hard work he had ac cumulated severalhouses at Twenty- seventh and Seward streets, and owned his shoe business at 2001 North Twenty-fourth street. ' Mrs. Fonarow declared he was parsimon ious. "I slept on the floor half the time," she said, "when he ordered me out of his bed. He never gave me more than 50 cents a day to run the house on." The attorney for Mr. Fonarow called Judge Troup's attention to her stylish clothes. She wore a hrge, brown velvet picture hat and a stylish suit of Scotch plaid. Appoint Police Matron Inspector of Sanitation Police Matron Gibbons has been appointed inspector of sanitation at the Central police station, effective today. The appointment was made by the police commissioner, following orders of military author!-' ties during the recnit riot that the police station should undergo in spection frequently. The appointment is one of the new positions given to a woman.
