TWENTY YEARS How would you like
to have somebody give you a warranty
deed to a halt section of Nebraska farm
land, and give you 20 years in which to
pay most of the purchase price, you
paying down only a part of tha agreed
price? The Howard family owns some
fine land In western Nebraska, and will
aell It In 320-acre tracts to any person
who desires to use It as a home, and
will sell on terma above stated. The 20
year deferred payments will bear 7 per
cent Interest. We will make the inter
ests only 4 per cent on a 10-year basis.
In this advertisement we call attention
to only two of our farma, but wa hava
othera. One Is a half section in Kim
ball county. Half of It Is now In winter
wheat, and It looks as pretty as a green
camel. Perhaps the wheat crop may
! nearly pay for the land. Such things
nave nappenea in western JNeDrasKS.
The wheat goes with the land. We will
sell this half section, wheat and all, at
only 160 per acre. We call attention to
another half section In Banner county.
About 120 acres are broken. This land
yielded 25 bushels of wheat per acre In
1918. This half sectian Is rented to a
good man, who will put all the culti
vated land in corn next year. Tha man
who buys now must wait a year to get
possession, unless he can make a deal
with the tenant, but In any event he will
get the landlord's share of the crop. If
any good man in Nebraska really wants
to secure a farm home on payments as
eaay as he could ask, better come to
Columbus and see me. Do not write
to me. I am not In the real estate
business. I am selling no land other
than that which la owned by the How
ard family. I have no time to devote to
correspondence, but I do have both the
time and the desire to help a few
good men to secure homes on Nebraska
soil, on terms so easy that they will
ba able to meet them without run
ning the risk of being closed out of
house and home should a bad year
come along. Come and talk with me,
and If the talk shall seem good, then
go and look at the land. When you
shall see It, you will buy It.
EDGAR HOWARD. Columbus, Neb.
P. 8. I forgot to say that our price
for the Banner county half section Is
$40 per aero, and on the same terms an
the halt section offered la Kimball
county. E. H.

VON DER GOLTZ
TO BE OUSTED
BYGEN.MANGIN
French General on Way to

Officer Will Fol
low Shortly. v
Paris. Oct. 18. General Mangin,
ihe.Frsnch member of the inter
allied commission to superintend
the evacuation of the Baltic states
by the troops of General von der
Goltz, will leave Paris immediately
for th Baltic, it was decided today
by the supreme council. Brig. Gen.
Sherwood A. Cheney, U. S. A., and
representatives of the other great
powers will follow in a few days.
The oace conference has received
messages to the effect that General
Yudenitch was expected to take Pe
trograd within two days. It has no
advices, however, regarding the re
ports that his army has actually en
tered Petrosrrad.
j Investigators who have recently
been hi the Baltic provinces have re
ported to the peace conference that
General von der Goltz undoubtedly
l as plana prepared for an eastward
movement if oooortunitv should
offer, and probably is ready to give
central Russia a new government
of German making. For this reason
members of the peace conference
are anxious that the demobilization
of the forces of General von der
Goltz be effected immediately lest
his troops move into soviet Russia
and greatly complicate affairs
should the Lenine government be
overturned.

PLAN TO FLOOD '
AMERICA WITH
JAP EMIGRANTS
Japanese Newspapers In San
Francisco Give Proof of
Policy to Send Surplus
Hordes West.
Br Universal Service.
San Francisco, Oct. 18. The locit"
Japanese vpres continues to supply
proof that it is the set purpose of
Japan to flood all the countries of
North and South America with the
surplus hordes of Japanese emi
grants, first, for the economic relief
of Japan, and, second, vas helping to
make- Japan a dominant power
throughout the world. s" -
he following editorial from tne
New World, a Japanse newspaper
of San Francisco, throws a clear
light on the Japanese aims: ,'
"Our Japan rifust adopt , policy'
of wide-reaching and aggressive
overseas emigration for the reason
that vast numbers of European emi- ,
grants are about to pour forth and
occupy the most desirable lands.
Send Them to Mexico. .
"It is a fact, not only that the
United States of North America dis- "
likes our emigrants, but because of
a tacit pact, the gentlemen's agree
ment, we cannot arbitrarily Sena
emigrants there without a breach of
international morality.
"But to places like Mexico, Cen
tral America and South America,
where our emigrants are heartily
welcome, we must send them with
out the slightest regard for any
thing else. v
" Wtien Japanese first came to
California land was worth . only 50
cents an acre on the plains and 2$
cents in the foothills. Homesteads
could be had for nothing. But nor
body cared for them. Today w
are robbed of the right to own land
and agitation is going on to rob us
of the right of lease.
Brazil, Favored Land. .',(.'
"The situation in Brazil for secun
ing farm land is even more favor
able than it was in California those 9
days. Even if one buys land a very
small amount of money suffices.
And it is exceedingly easy to make
plans for the future. If we do not
now send large numbers of emi
grants and lay our plans for various
enterprises, we shall ultimately find
a second staging of what has oc
curred in the United States of North
America,
"Although on the American eon- ,
tinents Canada and the United
States of North America refuse, to
admit our Japanese, Mexico wel
confes them, Guatemala welcomes
them, and Brazil and Chili greatly
welcome them. Should not the Jap
anese government and people great- '
ly exert themselv-1 in those vast
and fertile fields?"
Loan to Italy Increased.
Washington, Oct 18. A credit 6f
$1,000,000 to Italy was announced
today by the . treasury, making

try, and a total of $9,64 7,4 19.494 to
