Hogs Receipts of hogs today amounted
to 6$ loads estlmsted at 4,700 head.
Trade waa rather draggy with a weak
undertone prevailing. The market opened
with) prices largely in line with the weak
close yesterday. It took good quality
hogs to sell above $16.00. Well finished
lights and prime butcher weights selling
up to $16.76 with choice loads of lights
at $17.00. The long string was $16,900
18.99, with heavy packers selling on down
to $18.75 and below. Tha general mar
ket was 1525c lower than yesterday and
bulk of sales was $16.75 16.00.

Expectation that corn deliveries on Sep
tember oentracts would be on a liberal
scale was due more or less to knowledge
