WORK THAT GIRLS
LIKE TO DO
that's what we have in the Snow White Bakery many kinds of
work that girls like to do.
Right now, in our icing department, there is work for a number
of girls, who would be interested in putting icing (or "frosting") on
cakes and cookies, in dipping them in chocolate or cocoanut or other
good things to eat, in making fancy marshmallow and other cookies,
in pitting delicious cream filling in creme sandwiches or Alpine
creams, or in packing different kinds of cakes and cookies, ready for
the grocery store.
It is interesting work, girls the kind of work that most girls
like to do. Our icing room is on the second floor and it is clean
arid sanitary, well lighted, woll ventilated, with wooden (not concrete)
floor and windows screened. Free shower baths and free nursing
service.
Your noon meal is served in the Snow White Cafeteria, where a
good hot ranch is supplied for as little as 12c. Or you can bring
your own lunch, if you prefer.
You work only eight hours per day on Monday to Friday, in
clusive, and you are off at noon Saturday, the year 'round.
If you are inexperienced, your pay starts at $10.00 per week.
As you learn more, you earn more. At the end of each four weeks'
steady work, you are paid a 10 bonus that is, additional pay,
amounting to 10 of your wages for the four weeks. So you see
it pays to be a steady worker.
Come and see us and we will gladly give you further informa
tion or put you right at work, if ready. You must be 16 years of
age or over.
Just cut out this ad and bring it with you to the office, which is
on the second floor, entrance in middle of block.

MONEY TO LOAN.
FINANCIAL
New York. June 6. Losses Incurred
during the liquidation of Tueaday were
virtually recovered on the Stock exchange
today In an active session In which spec
ulative Interests, spparently of the opin
ion that reports of a revival ot the so
called money commutes were unfounded,
controlled the situation. Occasional) re
cessions were not sustained and new high
ground was attained by many atocks in
the vigorous final hour upturn.
Notable among the day'e advances were
those of General Motora to 245, United
States Steel to 110 and Reading to 92i.
roprisentlng gains ranging from 2 to 15
points. The rise In General Motors was
attributed to a large steel order placed
by the company.
General influences regarded as favora
ble Included another Importation of gold
from Canada. $5,500,000; the bright cop
per outlook and more encouraging pros
pects for an early signing of the peace
treaty. ,
Motors were In demand In the final up
ward whirl of prices, but there were strik
ing advances also In numerous other
specialties, in which a large shcrt Inter
est la reputed to exist. Publec buying ex
pended to a notable extent and material
gains were registered in a comprehensive
list of stocks, including the Tobscco, fond,
oil, copper, shipping, leather and ice Is
sues. Rails, as of late, played a secondary
part In the rise, but some of the Pacifies
and grangers reflected Investment accu
mulation. Sales amounted to 1,700,000
shares. x
Bonds maintained a good tone, with Uie
Victory i'na achieving a new high level
at 100.20. Total sales, par value, aggre
gated $9,400,000. Old United Stutes bonds
were unchanged on call.
Special stocks gave another great
demonstration of strength In the final
hour. General Motora gained 8, Central
Leather, 6, and United States Alcohol,
7 94. The closing was strong.
Improving financial sentiment, to
gether with reports of great activity In
varloua Industries, caused a notable rise
In the stock market today. Sales ap
proximated 1.700.000 shares.

Up to noon cash grain prices on the
Omaha market were as follows: Good

Chicago Grain und Provisions.
Chicago. June 6. Improved cn.p condi
tions tended Thursday to give the bears
a slight advantage In the corn market,
but led to no aggressive selling. Prlcea
closed unsettled, c net lower to 4c ad
vance, with July $1.70 to $1.70 and
September $1.60 to $1.61. Oats loat
4c to. 4c. In provisions the out
come ranged from 40o decline to a rise of
37c.
Most of the traders in consequence show
a tendency to sell on the bulge and not
to buy except on breaks. The result waa
to hold the market within relatively nar
row limits. Friends of lower prlcea laid
chief stress on reports that the new crop,
although late, seemed to be rapidly catch
ing up. On the other hand, advises Indi
cating that other centers were outbidding
Chicago for grain to arrive led to numer
ous small rallies in which an eastern houso
led the buying.
Excellent weather and crop reporta did
much to handicap bulls in the oata mar
ket. Weakness of hog quotations, together
with the Hoover statement as to live
stock supplies in Europe, hsd a depressing
effect on provisions. Subsequently, how
ever, commission house demand for lard
brought about upturns.
