Registration booths for persons
who desire to attend the Saturday
afternoon and night mass meetings
under the auspices of the League
to Enforce Peace, will be open in
Omaha all day Thursday.
Every person who registers will
be given a badge, good for admis
sion to the main floor of the Audi
torium at either. or both sessions at
which prominent speakers will dis
cuss the League of Nations.
So great has been the demand for
seats at the Saturday noon luncheon
at the Hotel Fontenelle in honor of
Dr. Anna Howard Shaw that the
limit has been raised to 750. Des
pite this fact, scores of applications
have been rejected.

day morning for the league speakers
have been made as follows:

To Decorate Graves
of the Unknown Dead
The "unknown dead" and veterans
of the Spanish-American and civil
wars, who "died at sea" will be
honored Friday by the Ladies of the
G. A. R., Garfield circle, No. 11.
in two programs, morning and
ifternoon.
Graves of the "unknown dead"
will be decorated at the Forest
Lawn cemetery at 10 o'clock Friday
morning. Lew Pixley of the G. A.
R. will deliver the address. Rev.
Ward L. Austin will give the in
vocation and there will be a read
ing by Mrs. Camilla Elliott. Miss
Daisy Higgins and Mrs. Dr. A. A.
Holtman will sing solos.
Sailors, Boy Scouts and members
of the Omaha drum corps will dec
orate the graves.
At 5 o'clock Friday afternoon an
assembly will be held at Hanscom
' park. A. S. Churchill of the G. A.
R. will deliver the principal address.
A floral minature boat will be
"launched" by sailors, assisted by
eight little girls.
John II. Berger will be "marshal
of the- day" on both occasions.
Pleads Own Case and
Invites Judge and
Defense to Fish Fry
Ed. Kazmirski, riverside resident
at the foot of Missouri avenue, plead
ed his own case before Justice G. S.
Collins yesterday and won.
The court allowed him $20 for
towing the Boy Scouts' launch from
a sandbar to the Kazmirski dock.
The craft broke from its moorings at
Gibson and drifted down stream to
an island opposite Missouri avenue.
The scouts refused to pay Kar
mirski for his services and they re
covered the boat on a writ of re
plevin. The hearing resulted in an
amicable settlement
Kazmirski told the court that the
Missouri is a government stream and
he based his claim against the scouts
on the laws of salvage. He contend
ed that his claim of $25 was only
nominal, considering his skill as a
river man. He accepted the $20
and invited Justice Collins and the
officers of the local council of Boy
Scouts to a fish bake at his cottage.
Wife Says Relatives of Her
Husband Cause Unhappiness
Mary Willuhn filed an answer and
cross petition yesterday to petition
of her husband, Edward, for a di
vorce miled a few weeks ago in dis
trict court alleging that her hus
band's sister and mother are the
cause of their unhappiness. She says
they lived in perfect harmony for
several months after their marriage
in January, 1917, until the mother
and sister of her husband interfered
and induced him to treat her cruelly.

way for the first time as the pilot
of a motor-driven vehicle otherwise

He traveled 20 blocks without
breaking any of the traffic laws or
impeding the progress of any other
vehicle.
"Please say that it was a city car,"
he suggested.
