Chicago Grain an dj Provisions,
Chicago. May 1$. Heavy selling by a
big commission house did a good deal to
day to put bears again In control of the
corn market. Dry weather where most
needed tended further to depress values.
Besides eastern ahlpping, demand was
poor. Opening prices, which ranged from
y, to 2Ko lower, with July 81.66H to
31.67 and September $1,674 to $1.61
were followed by material setbacks In ad
dition. ,
Favorable crop reports weakened oat,
After opening unchanged to Ho down
with July 68 tt to 68 Tc, the market con
tinued to sag.
Provisions war dull and heavy. Th
chief factor was corn weakness.
