With Auto Thefts, Maurice Katlenun was placed on Iricl yesterday afternoon in district court before Judge Redick on the charge of grand larceny. He ii charged with being the "man higher up" in connection with the theft of an automobile from the corner o! Seventeenth and Farnam streets on September 28 last. - ; The car was owned by C. J.'Ta mulewicz and was stolen by William lennings McKenna and L. C Jones, both of whom have confessed. This is the same theft under which "Red" N'eal was found guilty of grand larceny in the same court three weeks ago. McKenna and Jones were the principal state's wit nesses in that case. The evidence in that trial involved Katleman. McKenna and Jones testi fied that they went into Katleman'i haberdashery store, the Washington Shirt company, Sixteenth and Far nam streets, and that he gave them $10 for "expenses" and told them what kind of a car was wanted.
