This group has planned a hike on Saturday if the weather is agreeable otherwise ' they will be busily en gaged with their sewing. Joe Schalek's group will hold their next meeting with Dorothy Ed wards. This is the regular meeting which was postponed last week. Miss Alice Chambers' group will give the musical program this after noon at the Social Settlement A reading by Leita Tony, vocal solo by Louise Logan and piano solos by Inez Mauer and Dorothy Gilbert is part of the entertainment planned. The Akita group which had a candy sale at the YW. C. A. on Saturday before the Campfire sing, were so successful that Mrs. Charles Helsey's group is to follow, their plan and have a-sale of the same kind before the same sing on next Saturday. At a meeting on Tuesday at the Y. W. C. A. Edith Allen was choSen chairman of the committee to take charge of the candy sale for next Saturday. The Akita group realized $5.50 from their sale at the last sing. Other groups enjoying hike on Saturday were Sue Molarity's and Margaret Bliss' groups. Miss Mor earity's girls went to Child's Point and enjoyed a meal cooked hi regular campfire style, while Miss Bliss' group took the road north of Florence and also enjoyed outdoor cooking-JMans for this hike were made arthe meeting held at Mar garet Shaw's on Wednesday by the Tohase group, of which Margaret Bliss is guardian, and at the meet ing on Wednesday at the Y. W. C. A. of Sue Morearity's group. The Iyopta group, of which Her berta . Barker is guardian, met on Wednesday at Doris Talmage's home. Virginia White has been made assistant guardian of Miss Barker's other group, the Wabi goon. They met with the assistant guardian on Tuesday. 'v All Campfire girls; and their guardians are urged to come to the sing on Saturday at the Young Women's Christian association at 2:3Qjn order that we may show the representatives of the Concord club who will be there how greatly we appreciate their interest in our or ganization and in order that we may learn more of the songs. - r The last of a series of group meals which have been given by the girls of Mrs. N. The New York office has .notified Omaha headquarters that annual dues should be paid by the 1st of March of each year. Great interest has been shown in the 500-word essay contest which is open to all Campfire girls in the city. H. R. Bowen is offering two cash prizes for the best essays, each prize ,$25, onq to go to the girl ber tween the ages of 12 and 15, and the other to a girl over 15. The time limit has been extended to March 31. The topics chosen as subjects for the essay are "The Benefits a Campfire Girl Should Bring, to Her Community," and "Campfire' Girl in Her Hpme- Relationsftip," and "What a Campfire Girl Owes to Her Campfire Sisters," and "What Campfire Means to Me."
