Chicago Grain and Provisions.
Chicago, March 8. Withdrawal of the
hog price minimum failed today to bring
about any serious disturbance of the corn
market. The close waa unsettled, 14 c net
lower to a like advance, with May $1.29
to $1.2914, and July $1.24 to $1.24.
Oat finished unchanged to 14 9 Ho higher.
In provisions the outcome varied from 12c
decline to a rise of 20 cents. '
Provisions averaged higher as a result
of the comparative firmness of the hog
market and because of liberal shipment
of lard and meats from here, desplt th
marine strike at New York.
