"Boys, my advice to you is to keep away from the railroad yards," stat ed Judge Troup in juvenile court to a group of youngsters who had tres passed on the right-of-way. Special officers of railroads have received strict orders to apprehend all unau thorized persons on railroad right-of-way. Perfume was the undoing of Well ington Martin, 16-year-old colored boy who was ordered to the state industrial school at Kearney. The boy was charged with stealing goods from a store where he had been em ployed. He pleaded that an older employe tempted him by showing bow easy it could be done. The judge stated that a boy of 16 should know that it is wrong to steal. A minute after the boy had been com mitted to Kearney, a constable from municipal court appeared with a warrant against him on a more seri ous charge. A 14-year-old attendant of Madi son school was reprimanded v for smoking cigarets near the school. The boy stated that J. P. Cross sold him the tobacco. The mother claimed extenuating circumstances becauses he alleged that many boys at' Madison school smoked tobacco and that her son had been influenced by suggestion. Old Fashioned Party With Ye Olden Gowns ' at the First Methodist Back to the ti.ne of the civil war goes the program to be given at the big Thanksgiving entertainment for loldier boys Thursday night, at the First Methodist church. The Ladies Aid society, of which Mrs. E. A. Benson is president, has arranged a really old fashioned par ty. The ladies will wear the cos tumes in style during the days of the rebellion. The "eats" will consist of old time dainties, including d jghnuts fried on the snot and de livered into the hands of the guests hot and fresh. 0 Songs of long ago will be sung by - l group of dear, white haired ladies, Mrs. Anna Fitch, Mrs. Martha Baird Stone, Mrs. Mary Strickland, Mrs. Helen Wolcott, Mrs. Mary Va por, Mrs. J. W. Marshall, Mrs. J. C. Ludeke and Mrs Mary Fitton. The old soldiers' quartet, D. M. Haverly, J. F. Staley, E. W. Johnson and G. F. Bancrott, will aiso sing. Jenny Lind, impersonated by Miss Mabel Allen, will sing several solos. i About 150 soldiers trom tne torts near Omaha will be the honor guests of the evening. Members arid friends of the church are expected, to turn out in full force to help en-r. tertain the guests. - German War Prisoner in an Australian Camp Writes Aunt in Omaha Is there a "Mrs. M) Meyer" in Omaha whose nephew, H.. Vidal, is an interned civilian prisoner in the Holdsworthy (E. C.) camp, N. .S.. Wales, Australia? If so, there is a letter at the Oma ha postoffice awaiting delivery. The letter" was first delivered to Maurice Meyer, Meyer Mercantile company, ; but he knows of no such individual as "H. Vidal." Fowler Files Petition To Release a Mortgage Burt C Fowler hat filed a peti tion in district court, to require Rena A. Fowler to release a mort gage which he executed on January . 24, 1914, to cover an agreement that he would pay $37.50 per month for two minor daughters. He states in petition that the daughters, Adele and Vivian, have attained their ma jority, but that his wife refuses to release the mortgage. Colonel Anderson of Rome Contemplates 'Coast Trip Colonel Billy Anderson of the , Rome hotel is contemplating a trip to California in December to visit his sons and grandchildren.
