Detectives Recover Car
Stolen Early in October
A large touring. .ar belonging to
II. A. Wolf, stolen October 2, was
recovered Thursday 'by Detectives
Rich and Anderson just as it was
driven out of the Bowman Smith
paint shop, 3323 Farnam street.
When the car was stolen it was
blue, when recovered it was a bril
liant olive green. Nothing was left
to identify it except a hidden engine
number.
According to the manager of the
Smith Bowman cotnpany, lie had
painted the car blue for II. A. Wolf
shortly before it was stolen. When
next he saw the machine, it was be
reft of all paint, and in the hands of
D. L. Rozelle, 4322 South Twenty
second street. He did not recognize
it, and, at the instruction of Rozelle,
applied the olive "green paint.
Rozelle was arrested for investin
gation but denies stealing the car.
