HE government has asked every farmer, every business
man, every woman and child to lend their support, in
v increasing production of foodstuffs, and in male in f for

With this condition confronting us time is one of the most vi
tal factors. We must find time somehow, to do two men's
work, or even three.
Time wasted in slow methods is almost criminal now. Every
known means of accomplishing more in a shorter period of
time must be encouraged.
For this reason the government is today encouraging, yes
urging the substitution of motor power for the slow going
horse. Just as the horse and steam railroad took the place of
ox cart and the steamboat, the truck and tractor must supple
ment the horse. '
There can be no doubt now as to the practicability, in most
cases at least, of the truck and tractor. If you don't believe this
you owe it to your government and to yourself to go to your,
nearest dealer and let him explain the truck and tractor to you.
1. Thousands of acres of land now utilized in .growing feed
can be released for human food if trucks and tractors are" used.
2. Thousands of precious minutes can be saved if trucks and
tractors are used.
3. Thousands of things canbe done in the time saved by
using trucks and tractors.
4. Thousands of men can be released for the fighting line
and the ammunition plants if trucks and tractors are used.
5. Thousands of freight cars can be released if trucks and
tractors are used.
