Noftne to A WTO1 CM Your government requests the new War Service Regula tions outlined below! These new regulations were put in force in Omaha July 15, 1918. On that date the motor car industry and motor car owner ship were put on a war footing. It's most imperative that every motor car user every dealer every repair shop -every service station-note carefully the War Service Policy adopted as a meas ure of national defense. Please read this proclamation, and as a patriotic duty, call it to the attention of your friends! Releasing Men for War Work and Cutting Down Useless Waste! These vitally important functions must be accomplished. In order to give our very utmost in man-power and material, many old practices in service must give way to the new order of things! War is our business nou--and it's yours! The Omaha Automobile Trade Association have, individually and collectively, pledged themselves to the following Win-the-War service measures as requested by the War Service Committee of the War Economy Board of the Council of National Defense: 1. We will discontinue all unnecessary and free service and inspections. 2. Our salesroom, repair shop and all other departments will be closed after 6:00 p. m. daily, and all day Sundays and holidays. 3. In order to eliminate unnecessary office work, the Government has re quested that all business be conducted as eeonomically and efficiently as possible. Therefore, on and after July 15th, 1918, charge accounts will be discontinued. All parts, repairs and labor will be C. 0. D. Conserve Gasoline, Oil and Grease Whenever Possible How You Motor Car Users Can Help The new Vin-the-War Service policies will not work a hardship on any user. You can help the Government materially by your cheerful co-operation. You can help by using your car sen sibly and economically. Save labor, gasoline, oil, grease and material wherever possible.
