JOE BREAK EVEN IN 2 SNAPPY GAMES Kopp Has.Things Own Way in First, While Best Rourkes Can Do in Second Is One Run. St. Joseph, Me July 4. (Special Telegram.) Omaha took the first and St. Joe the second of a double bill here today. Kopp had things his own way in the first sessionwhile Chief Bluejacket was off color a bit In the second game Otto Merz was found for only six hits, but those were made to count for three runs, while the best the Rourkes could do was a lone score in the first frame on an error by. Brubaker and a hit by Donica. Only 1,500 persons saw the game, the smallest holiday crowd for St. Joseph in many years. At least fifty Omaha fans were in the boxes and cheered lustily for their team Marty O'Toole secured five hits in the two games, and it is said that he may decide to accept a proposition to remain with the club as an out fielder. ; Both games today were snappy and fast and several brilliant plays were staged -by members of both teams. It is considered doubtful whether the Saints will play out the season here. The teams play the final of the series tomorrow. ; American Association, Milwaukee, July 4. Score, first came. R. H. E'.
