Sioux City, July 2. (Special
Megrim. Sioux City 'was favored
with the break of the game today
and defeated Omaha in the fourth
game of the aeriei by a score of 5 to
1. As an evidence that the Packers
had all the luck it might be noted
that the. Rourkes-on two occasions
made three hits in one inning, but
both times failed to score.
, Omaha got away to an early start
and obtained a one-run lead in the
third inning.. With .one man out,
Bashang singled and stole second.
Jackson walked and Bashang scored
when Mason made a clean single to
left field," That: ended : the visitors'

In the first frame Bashang singled
and was caught napping off first base.

his co-managers, Mart Slattery and
Larney Lichtenstein, today all parties
concerned in the big wrestling match
between' Pesek arid Chaflies Peters
at Rourke park tomorrow afternoon
will be on the scene of the approach

Pesek and Slattery are scheduled
to arrive in Omaha from ,Shelton,
Neb., their home, this morning, while
Lichtenstein is due In' .rant Chicago

A big delegation of Buffalo coun
ty fans are said to. be coming, with
Pesek and Slattery and a second big
delegation will trive Fourth of July

Coming With Coin.
1 Reports from Shelton are that the
Buffalo county fans are coming heavi
ly laden with coin, of the realm which
they will hang up on Pesek if takers
can be found. 'Tis said that even
more money is headed toward Omaha
today than into the Gate city from
the wild and woolly when Joe Stecher
took Charlie Cutler to that memor
able cleaning. ,
: The Buffalo county fans are craiy
about Pesek. They believe he is the
world's greatest wrestler, bar none,
and they are ready to put up their
coin to back their arguments,
r Mart Slattery reports $15,000 in
cash will be coming to Omaha and if
Peters followers want to cover more
than, this sum they need only let Buf
falo county know and Buffalo county
will bring still more coin. ,
Papillion too will be in Omaha in
force tomarrow. That is Charlie Pe
ters' home and the Papillion fans are
as crazy about Charlie as Shelton is
about Pesek. Some warm times are
anticipated when the rival ' fans get

A. E. Carlton today was appointed
receivers for the Colofado Midland
Railroad company by Judge V. G.
Shaffer in the district court He was
authorized to discontinue operation
of the road as a common carrier after
August 5. ... "
The suit that resulted in Carltoa's
appointment was brought " by the
Colorado Title and Trust company,
which holds a $2,000,000 mortgage
against the road, and on which it is
alleged the interest . has not been

Washington. July 2. Diplomatic
dispatches today say that, according

addressed a summons to the Finnish
Diet commanding it to introduce with
out delay monarchial rule in Finland.
Insurgents Take Reynosa.
' McAllert, Tex., July 2. A band of
ISO Felicistas made a surprise attack
on the garrison at Reynosa, across
the Rio Grande from Hidalgo today,
and captured the city after a bloodless
skirmish, according to reports- re
ceived here. Reynosa is a fortified
town and was occupied by Carranza's
troops.' .

beaten twice today, Chicago tighfen
ing its grip on first place by taking

6 to 2. It was St. Louis' 13th straight
defeat at the hands of the Cubs.
In the first game the visitors drove
