. tate board at St Louis last week, ad-
dressed the regular meeting of the
Omaha Real Estate board Wednes-
day, giving their experiences, and im
parting to those who remained at
. home some of the new ideas and im
pressions they had received at the
gathering. -
C F. Harrison, Mr. Shotwell and
C G. Carlberg were among the
speakers and the synopsis of the meet-
ing, which they presented, was a word
picture of the proceedings of the body.
Many valuable suggestions were
made as a result of conferences with
visiting delegates from all aver the
country and new methods were dis-
' cussed.
F. A. Shotwell was called upon to
repeat his five minute speech which
lie delivered at the competitive con
test at St. Louis and he responded so
eloquently that it was the consensus
of those present he should have been
awarded the prize, which went to a
. member of the Los Angeles Real
Estate board.
Mr. Shotwell had strong competi
tion as some of the most eloquent
. speakers in the country had been
drafted to put their cities on the map
mi words of glowing eloquence.

over those of th last few days, 109 cars
being reported in. Wheat receipt wer 10
rare; corn, (T cars; oats. 11 cars, and
barley, 1 oar, No rye waa received
Trade In cash grain was unusually llaht.
Corn price war unchanged to lo up for
th commercial grades, while some of the
off grades sold at a discount The demand
for corn wa light and waa th case In the
oat market no. white corn sold at
(1.79 to $1.80, and the No. 3 yellow at
$1.61. Mixed corn waa a hard sale, no
sales of thi variety abov th No, 6 grade
Deing reported.
The light demand for oat caused buyer
to accept lower prlcee. Commercial grade
oat, fio. I wnite, sold at 74c, Ho under
yesterday' spflt prices. Btandsrd oats sold
at 74 Ho nd the sample grade at 71 Vie,
Clearance were: Wheat and flour, equal
to 18,000 bushels, corn, 30,000 bushels; oats,
241 busnei.
Primary corn receipts wer 186.9(0 bush
els, and shipments 15,000 bushels against
