Carlo! receipts of grain In this market
today totaled 111 csrs. Wheat receipts were
31 cars; corn, 70 oars: oats, 7 cars; rye, 1
car and barley, 3 cars.
The amount of business trsnsacted In
cash corn was very light, being confined! to
the disposition of only 70 cars. Trade was
talrly active with the spot quoted a cent
higher to So lower. Choice white corn con
tinued In active demand and brought yester
day's prices to a cent over. The bulk of the
3 white sold up lc. Tellow corn was around
a cent off while the mixed grades were 2c
and 3c lower. Some of the poorer grade of
ferings sold off several cents. No. 3 white
sold at $1 65 and $1.66; No. 3 yelow at $1.68
and the No. 3 mixed at $1.68.
Oats showed a small gain over yesterday's
sales, this cereal ranging from 4o to lo
higher, the bulk advancing Ho and Vc.
Receipts were exceptionally light and those
oifered were taken readily. No. I white
sold at 7SHe, and the standard grade at
73';c. No. 3 white brought 73c and liic
and the 4 grade, 72ic and 72Ho. Sample
grade oals sold at Tc.
Rye and barley were nominally several
cents lower.
Clearances were: Wheat and flour equal
to 6 000 bushels; corn, 303,000 bushels; osts,
544.000 bushels.
Primary wheat receipts were $18,000
bushels and shipments 119.000 bushels,
against receipts of 754.000 bushels and
shipments of 349.000 bushels last year.
