head, making 17,000 for the week, as com
pared with 34.176 head last week and 29,836
head yarded th corresponding week a year
ago. Quality of th receipts wore just ordi
nary. Including but few loads of medium
to good steers and nothing real choice on
sale. Trading was generally on a steady
to stro g basis and on choice steers lOo to
15o higher for the week and on the me
dium grades, 15o to 60o higher. Good to
choice steers are quotable from $17.16 and
$17.75, and fair to good steers from $16.26
to $17.00 snd from that on dowu to the
common and warmed up grades. Butcher
stock was generally steady, there being
but a few odd assortments In the offerings
and trade la generally 15o to 40o higher for
the week ranging on cows from $12.00 to
$14.00 on thj good kind and from that on
down toward the others. There were very
few feeders on sale, prices are steady to

Today's receipts of grain showed a con
siderable Increase over those of yesterday,
a total of 148 cars showing up. Wheat re
ceipts were 18 cars; corn, 88 cars, oats, 2f
cars, rye, two cars, and barley, one car.
The demand for cash corn continued quit!
active, this demand, however, being limited
to the better grades. On the whole, prlcet
were generally lower, ranging from lo t .
