Military Wedding. On Friday evening a military wed ding t6ok place at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Vir tue, uniting in marriage Miss Mary Virtue and Mr. William U. Inghram, 'a member of the Omaha ambulance unit, now stationed at Louisville, Ky. Preceding the ceremony Miss Mar jorie Forgan sang 'Because" and the "Star Spingled Banner," instead of the usual wedding march, was the sig nal for the bride's entrance. , Little Dorothea Herold, niece of the bridegroom, carried the ring in a basket of sweet peas, and was the bride's only attendant. The service was read in front of a large Ameri can flag, banked on either side by I palms and bridal wreath, while the same decorations prevailed through out the rooms. White embroidered voile formed the wedding gown,, and the bridal bouquet of -sweet peas had a silk American nag in the center and a hower of lilies of the valley, inter mingled with tiny flags of the allied nations. Only relatives were present. Mr. Inghram will return to his unit upon the expiration of his furlough, and v Mrs. Inghram will remain with her mother until her husbands return from his service with the colors. Events of Last Week. Miss Dorothy Gale of Chicago pent a few days with Mrs. H. R. Baum, 2307 Dewey avenue, upon her return from California. George Dunbaugh of Fort Omaha entertained at an Orpheum party fol lowed by supper at the Fontenelle Tuesday evening in honor of his mother, Mrs. Dunbaugh of Chicago. The party included, Miss Virginia Offutt, Miss Esther Wilhelm, Lieu tenant Charles Powell, Lieutenant Thomas MacLaughlin and Edward Crofoot Patrick-Lowe Wedding. Announcement is made of the mar riage of Mrs. Harriet Chandler Lowe to Mr. Harry Burt Patrick The marriage took place at the Trin ity Methodist church at 9:30 Sunday morning, May S, Rev. Mr. Langley officiating. The wedding was a very luiet one, only relatives being pres ent. Mr. H. A. Bosford of Kansas City, the bride's father, was the out-of-town guest. After a short wedding 'trip, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick will be at 3009 vHarney street until their new home in Minne Lusa is completed about June 1. Hedeltfrid-Robinson Wedding. ' Announcement is made of the mar riage of Miss Ruth Robinson, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Robinson, to Mr. Martin J. Hedelund, which took Jlace Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the, home of the bride's parent I Ak-Sar-Ben Princess Wartime Bride X mv. i J3 MISS FLORENCE RAHM. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Rahm announce the engagement of their daughter, Florence, to Robert Loomis, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Loomis, of this city. The date has not been set for the wedding. Miss Rahm is a charming member of the younger set, who has aban doned society to serve her government, for she has been employed at the telephone company on government work for some time. Miss Rahm at tended Brownell Hall and is a graduate of Monticello, where she completed her course last June. Miss Rahm was a special maid to the queen of Ak-Sar-Ben at the coronation last October. Mr. Loomis is a graduate of Lawrenceville and was attending Dart mouth college when he enlisted as a flying cadet. He was in training at Fort Omaha for some time, but is now at the aviation school in Columbus, 0., awaiting his commission. Heads Committee For Sacrifice Sale . fe -Sal- Mrs. Charles A. G-oss is chairman of the sacrifice sale committee of wo men from the First Methodist church. The sale, which is a French orphan benefit, will be held Wednesday. It is to be a miniature of the big White Elephant sale conducted last winter in the Auditorium by the Service league. Mrs. Goss is a fine executive and has managed the church sales for the last 20 years. Rev. E. A. Marsft of Blair, Neb., per formed the ceremony, which was wit nessed only by relatives. The bride was attended by Mrs. Nina Nelson, and her brother, Mr. Ray Robinson, was best man. The bride wore her traveling suit of blue and a white hat. Mrs. Ray Robinson played the wed ding march. Mr. and Ms. Hedelund have gone for a short visit at Central City, and on their return will reside in Ben son. Musicale-Tea. Mrs. Louise Jansen Wylie will en tertain at a musicale-tea at her home Sunday afternoon. This will be the last of these delightful affairs to be given this year. Mrs. Wylie will give a pupils' recital some time in June. Abandon Bridge for War Work. The Omaha Whist club has ad journed until the first Tuesday in Sep tember so that its members may give all their spare time to war work.
