Cattle A rather liberal run of cattle
showed up this morning, 17,000 head, and
the two days' supply has bean fully 6,000
heavier than for Monday and Tuesday of
last week. Quality of the offerings was
substantially the same ss on yesterday, and
the market developed further weakness all
along the line. Strictly desirable beef steers
were conspicuously scarce and did not sell
so very much lower, while on the general
run all killing stook, both steers and cows,
sales were around 10016c lower than Mon
day, and Indications that bulk of the trading
would be on this basis.
The market situation was further compli
cated by a disastrous fire In the Kansas City
yards, and excesslvs recolpts at othsr mar
ket points.
In stockers and feeders ths movement
was elugglsh as Country demand was disap
pointing, and all classes of buyers exceed
ingly bearish In their views.

the situation
