Clara Schneider, Omaha's talented young violinist, gave a benefit concert for the Red Cross society in Cumber land, Wis., Monday evening. She was most enthusiastically received by a large audience. Her, bowing, the quali ty of tone, pure intonation and deli cacy of shading won much praise. Miss Schneider is a pupil of Frank Mach. - Stork Special News comes from Detroit of the birth of a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hyde of this city. Covers were laid for eight. Keene Abbott Lost in Black Hills for Several Hours Keene Abbott, Omaha newspaper man, who has been spending several weeks in the Black Hills, accompa nied by M?s. Abbott and two nurses, Miss Elsie Odewan and Miss Esther Julian, came near to a disastrous ex perience recently, when they became lost in the Spearrish canyon region. The party left their camp early in ,the morning for a long hike and in some manner lost their bearings and wandered over the wild country for fifteen or twenty miles. They were hnally rescued by a party of camp ers who had been picking" berries and taken to Savoy, five miles from their own camp. They later returned to Friendship Club to Hold Picnic at Riverview Park The Friendship club will hold a picnic Sunday afternoon and evening in Riverview park.
