Hogs On the basis of the early esti
mates today's hog receipts were even
larger than yesterday's official count, 191
rare, wr about 13,000 head, b-lng reported
hy mldferenoon. Total for ihe week so
far Is the largest In several weeks. Re
ceipts for the three days of 33,196 head
are 6,004 larger than laat week, 18,000
heavier than two weeks ago and a couple
of hundred larger than for the eorre
pondfng period of laat yasr.
Bunyers were again In control ff the
trade and a decline that exceeded yester
day's was enforced. Shippers bought only
a fw loads, leaving practically the entire
gupply at the disposal at killers, and. 'as
ether markets ahownd fresh slumps, there
wse nothing for sellers here to do but
make concessions.
What few hogs shippers 6141 buy were
not oven a dime lower, but their purchases
were extremely light. Packers put up
their droves at I to lower prices.

Conflicting Influences Govern
Wall Street and Day Is
Marked by Many
Changes.
Nw York, .Tune 27. The market was
governed by conflicting influence today,
early gain being reduced or wholly eradi
cated In the final hour. Forenoon ad
vances were attributed mtlnly 10 relaxed
inonry conditions from the release of
Liberty loan depoalta, while late selling
was sccompilahed by unfavorable reports
arrecwing ralia and war leaues.
Cnll money opened at I per cent, but soon
eased to 4 and later fell to 2 per cent,
ihe minimum for morn than a fortnight.
Time loans aim shaded from to per
cent for the shorter maturities.
Ralls were negligible In the day's op
eration, though fairly firm until reports
an inaennite suspension 01 proposca raie
Inrreaat-a gained currency. Home of the
hlghpriced specialties, notably Industrial
Alcohol, which reacted 6 points, also con
tributed lu the sharp reversal of the final
hour.
Steady decline of Btudebaker, which fell
8 point to 70 ',4, exerted no effect for a
time, although accompanied hy reports
dealing with prospective dividends. Ohio
Oaa wns again under heavy pressure at an
extreme decline of ! to 122, and Sinclair
Oil fell S points to the new low record
of 40.
United States Steel, Bethlehem new stock,
I,ackawanna and Crucible, as well aa
Superior Steel and Colorado Fuel were the
Jtrcr.g'st Issues, recording groan gains of
to 3 points, but forfeiting much of this
before the colse.
Coppers, shippings, oils, sugars and the
usual semi-war specialties were better at
one time hy 1 to 8 points, and Pittsburgh
Coal led the coalers. Reading waa almost
the only high grade railway Issue to mani
fest marked strength, but reacted sharply
on relatively small dealings, Total sales,
1,024,00ft shares.
A pronounced Increase In demand for

Tom Moore, too, seems to real
