Re ceipts for the three days of 33,196 head are 6,004 larger than laat week, 18,000 heavier than two weeks ago and a couple of hundred larger than for the eorre pondfng period of laat yasr. Shippers bought only a fw loads, leaving practically the entire gupply at the disposal at killers, and. For the first half or the week sup plies are the smallest of the saon. and, In fact, the lightest in something Ilka two year. The run -for the three days hat br-nn 8,792 head, as rumpared with 9.66H last week. 9,931 two weeks ago, and 33,681 a yesr ago. The demand continued good, and under the Influence of light supplies lambs mor than regained any weak new they suffered yesterday. The trend of the trade was stronger right from the outset, and sales were a quarter higher than yesterday. The beat of fh native spring lambs told up to 118.50 to 118.60, with others on down. California spring lambs went as high as lis. Trade In mature muttons showed about the ssme trend as was noted on lamlw. Bales were stronger all around, and ad vances of as much as 85 cents were fairly common. The market was governed by conflicting influence today, early gain being reduced or wholly eradi cated In the final hour. Forenoon ad vances were attributed mtlnly 10 relaxed inonry conditions from the release of Liberty loan depoalta, while late selling was sccompilahed by unfavorable reports arrecwing ralia and war leaues. Cnll money opened at I per cent, but soon eased to 4 and later fell to 2 per cent, ihe minimum for morn than a fortnight. Time loans aim shaded from to per cent for the shorter maturities. Ralls were negligible In the day's op eration, though fairly firm until reports an inaennite suspension 01 proposca raie Inrreaat-a gained currency. Home of the hlghpriced specialties, notably Industrial Alcohol, which reacted 6 points, also con tributed lu the sharp reversal of the final hour. Steady decline of Btudebaker, which fell 8 point to 70 ',4, exerted no effect for a time, although accompanied hy reports dealing with prospective dividends. Ohio Oaa wns again under heavy pressure at an extreme decline of ! to 122, and Sinclair Oil fell S points to the new low record of 40. United States Steel, Bethlehem new stock, I,ackawanna and Crucible, as well aa Superior Steel and Colorado Fuel were the Jtrcr.g'st Issues, recording groan gains of to 3 points, but forfeiting much of this before the colse.
