Certificate of Inspection
This certifies that I have inspected the motor vehicle head
light and headlight equipment known as the Cravath Long Dis
tance Type Osgood Lens, submitted to me by the Osgood Lens &
Supply Company, and find that the same complies with the pro
visions of the ordinance of the City of Omaha regarding motor
vehicle headlights, passed September 22d, 1914.

The Osgood Lens also conforms to all the provisions of the
law passed by the last Legislature governing automobile lights.

"Every motor vehicle while in use on the public high
waysshall have exhibited during the period from one hour
after sunset to one hour before sunrise one or more lamps
showing "white" lights, visible within a reasonable distance, etc. --further
it shall be unlawful to use on a vehicle of any kind operated on a public
highway of this state any lighting devica of over four candle power
equipped with a reflector, unless the same shall be so designed, deflected
or arranged that no portion of the beam or reflected light when measured
75 feet or more ahead of the lamp shall rise above 42 inches from the
level surface on which the vehicle stands under all conditions of load.
