Falling Off of Visible Wheat Supply of I nlted NtAtes Sends Cereals I'p 1 Cents, Chicago. June 11. Wheat prices took an upward swing today. Influenced more or less by a big falling &Xf in the United States visible supply total. The market closed un settled, 9c to To net higher, with July at $2.3p and September at $2.09. Corn gained c to Be, oata 14c to 3 4c, and provisions 10c to 66c. Crop conditions appeared to be generally favorable and belief seemed widespread that the harvest yields would turn out above the estimates contained In the government re port. After announcement was made that the domestic visible supply had decreased 6,038,000 bushels 1n the last week and was now 30,000,000 bushels less than at the cor responding time a year ago, the market made a rapid ascent. Corn bulged after an early break. The market developed notable strength owing largely to a forecast Indicating a renewal of unseasonable low temperature and unwel come rain. Stocks on hand were reported as down to 361,000 bushels aa against 6, 629,000 bushels a year ago. Export demand had a bullish effect on oate. It was said $00,006 buabela were taken by European Interests. Provisions rallied on account of strength In corn. Lower quotations on hogs proved to be only a transient element of weak ness.
