With Marty O'Toole bowling along in fine form and his mates delivering the necessary base knocks at the well known psychological moments, Fa Rourke's de luxe twenty-four cylinder machine had no trouble suppressing Wichita yesterday, 8 to 4, O'Toole allowed the Isbellites five bingtes and whiffed nine. Two of the hostile runs were gifts from Marty's pals and were annexed without the aid of hit The Wiches marked up their gift runs in the opening stanza. Keller man, the first man up, drew a walk. Goodwin sacrificed. Jones also got a walk. After Coy fanned, making two outs, Irelan booted Hahn's grounder, letting Kellerraan score, and Krug muffed White's roller, letting Jones score. s This disaster failed to ' annoy O'Toole in the least and he held the Jobbers in check all afternoon, , Schick Delivers Hit. Omaha counted a tally 'in' the sec ond. Smith walked, was sacrificed to second by Bradley- and scored on Schick's single to right. The score was tied !n the fourth when Schick -got a life on Keller man's miscue and Tony Brottem cracked the bull sign on the snoot for a two-base hit and fifty bucks. The Rourkes put over two in the sixth. Smith and Bradley walked and Schick sacrificed each man a base. Brottem singled to right, scoring Smithy, and Bradley came home on Irelan s safety to left, : Krug's men put 4he. finishing touches to the game irf. the seventh and incidentally chase. -'Southpaw, Clemons to the shower. Burg watched four wide ones go by and Isbell der ricked Clemons for Norman. Norman, however, fared no better than his predecessor. Both Krug and Burg were safe on a fielder's choice and S Thompson sacrificed. Smith singled to right, scoring both Joe and Marty, and took second on the throw home. He then galloped to third when Nor man made a wild heave trying to catch him off second. Jones Contributes Muff. Bradlev srounded out and Earl held his base. Schick sent a roller to Davis, but Jones muffed the throw and Earl scored. Schick, also safe on the error, stole second and went to third when. Yaryan chucked the pill into centerfield. He scored on Brot tem's hit through short. Wichita made two runs in the eighth, but they did no good. Keller man walked, Goodwin doubled and Jones and Coy singled for the tallies. The Rourkes and Jobbers clash again today, starting at 3:15. Sioux City Batters Get To Hopper in Tenth and Win Sioux City, la., May 10. Hopper, released by Manager Ed Holly yester day. and signed by Jack Holland, was an enigma until the ninth inning to day, when Sioux City batters got to him for four hits and two runs and tied the score.
