WAS BEATINO HIS WAY An unidentified boy was killed by a Missouri Pacific freight train at Gilmore Junction Tuesday after noon. Sheriff C Hutter and County Attorney E. H. McCarty of Sarpy county are trying to locate hi, rela tives. It is believed that his horn, was in Kansas City. The only paper found on his body that would give a clue to his identity was a receipt for a suitcase given him by an express company. The receipt gives the name of Willis Hudson. It was issued at Valpariso, Neb, and covers the shipment of what is sup posed to have been his personal ef fects to Sheffield, Mo, a small town near Kansas City. From his traveling companions the sheriff learned that he had recently been employed by a small circus that recently played at Valpariso. It is presumed that he shipped hisjaitcase -from that ooint nd had started to beat his way home. Ho was attempt ing to board the train when he was run over. He appeared to be about 22 years old. He weighed about 145 pounds, was dark complected and had black hair. Labor Bureau Busy. The office of Secretary-Traffic Man ager Stryker of the Live Stock ex change has resolved itself into an employment bureau. Mr. Stryker is having troubles that he never antici pated, but the work of distributing labor to the farmers and stockmen is being successfully carried on. One source of trouble is the de mand for experienced farm hands. There is an abundance of men who have had no experience on the farm who are anxious to take up that class of work. Mr. Stryker feels that the solution of the problem will be in the farmers accepting young lads just out of school who are strong, steady and willing to work. He says that he has so many applications for places for these boys that he is having difficulty in securing places for them. "If the farmers who write to the Live Stock exchange asking for help would state whether or not they will accept inex perienced help, I can supply them with good boys who, in tny opinion, will prove to be better than the less reliable but experienced men." - Another phase of this work that is causing no end of trouble for ex change officials is that they have no assurance that the men sent out will ever reach their destination. When a man is sent out he casually meets a farmer, and tells him where he is going and what he is going to do. He is hired away from the man to whom he was originally sent, and no notice of this "man stealing" is given the exchange. Thus the the farmer is left without help that he is evpectirg. Two men were shipped out to distant points yesterday, one to western Wyoming and anothc to 1 wesUvn Colorado. Visitors' Son Dies. James Baldwin, 15-month.old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles L.
