Miss Grace Spencer,
Then Follows Flag
The war did not keep these two
hearts apart.
Thomas R. Kerschner, captain of
Company C of the Fourth Nebraska
National Guard, and' Miss" Grace
Spencer were married Monday even
ing at 6:30 by Rev. Edwin Hart Jenks
at the latter's home, 206 South Thirty-fourth
street.
Although Captain Kerschner is ex
tremely busy just now with milit;
matters, he manage1 to get away
from his post "somewhere in Ne
braska," and with his sweetheart went
to the pastor s home for a quiet wed
ding. Only Mrs. Jenks and Hart
Jenks witnessed the ceremony.
Un account of the war they will
postpone their honeymoon. They
will make their home at olfi south
Twenty-second street, but officers of
the fourth expect orders soon to go
away for active war service, so Cap
tain Kerschner may leave at any
time, until after the war. .
