Ralls were almost the only disappointing

Bethlehem Steel shares and the rights to

have been selling here at about 18

Brings Kecord Price
Although it did not become au ac
tive trading commodity and will not
until the May cdrn is out of the way,
the December corn option in Chicago
sold at the highest price ever recorded
in the history of the market for first
day sates. ' December corn of the 1917
crop sold at 8182 cents a bushel,
witn the Omaha price at 3 cents be
low. I he December wheat option was
not available for trading.
The Omaha grain market -was,
strong and higher, wheat advancing
one-half of a cent a bushel, corn one
half to three-fourths cents and oats
one-fourth of a cent. The demand was
good and about all of the offeriugs
