Wage Law Case is
Before High Court

law was reargued today before the
supreme court.
Justice Brandeis, who represented
the Oregon Industrial Welfare com
mission in defense of the statute when
the cases were first argued in De
cember. 1914, withdrew from the '
bench during the rehearing.
Prof. Felix Frankfurter of Harvard
succeeded Justice Brandeis as attor-.
ney for the Oregon authorities.
Chief Justice White today ordered
another case, involving validity of the
Oregon ten-hour day law for men in
certain industries, argued tomorrew
morning after the minimum wage
case.
