active, but the buyer seemed willing to

S white and brought 14c, while the No. 4
rad sold at ttc and the off grade aam

The cash demand for rye was excellent
and the bulk of the sample went at ex
tremely high prices, the No. I selling at
11.41 and the bulk of the No. I grade going
t 11.49.
Thra was an active trade In barley, with
prl remaining practically unchanged the
imaging variety selling at 1.101.U and
the No, I feed at about tie.
Clearance were: Wheat and floor equal
to 1,191.000 bushels; corn, 111,000 bwhels;
oats, 11,000 bushels. 1

Primary wheat receipts were 1.IIT.W0
bushels, and shipment l.UT.AftO buhels
against receipt of 1,711,000 bushels, and

free rein to lis speculative optimism, the
session being one or tne most noteworthy
in rhe history of tho exchange,
Dealings aggregated 1,100,000 shares, a
total only one exceeded' this year. Pally
half of the transaction consisted of United
Jits tea Steel, Oensral leather, th metal
ana relates industrials and equipment.
Rills were, again negloAed, when not actu
ally heavy, and motors were mostly weak
with subsidiary issue.

usual on a Prlday, but as receipts have been
small nil the week there waa a fair de
mand, packer trade evidently wanting a
few mors head to fill out their ordero. Th
trade was reasonably active and practically
everything In sight changed hands In good
season In the morning. Killer of all kind
were steady to a llttl atronger on some
of th most desirable grades. Feeders did
not show much change, being generally
