SCORES 9 TO 1 AKD 7 TO 1
While1 Cecil Thompson and Harry
krause, the demon southpaw, were
subduing the truculent Sioux sluggers
iu nifty fashion, the de luxe Rourklets
shanked the offerings of Kelly and
basper soundly, and Omaha ran
away with both ends of the "Labor
dav bargain matinee, winning the
first combat 9 to 1 and the second
section 6 to 1'. J t-
Cecil Thompson had the Sioux on
the hip in the first game and the
Uourkel sailed through the fray with
flying colors. Two-base knocks by
Watson and Lejeune marked up a
run for the Braves in the opening

Bui while Mr. Ketly may have had
the inclination; he didn't have the
stuff and our Cecil did. 'As a result
the Kourkoviuians hammered the
daylights out of him. They made
nine runs and thirteen hits' and would
have male more, only they got tired
chasing around the runway.

Kewpit ' Kilduff was the - shilling
light in .tlielirst game, In the sec
ond inning Kewpie was wounded in
a collision at the plate with Crosby
and it madia him mad. It made him
so mad .he. wanted to go out and win
theballgame all by himself, and he
did enough- work to do it.' He made
four hits out of as many trips to the
plate. One was a triple, . two were
doubles and one was a. single, i He
also scored two runs,, was the pivot

J- Krause in Form. -.. "
.' Harry Krause was in splendid form
in the second game and the' Omaha
victory was apparent 'from tlie, start.
So apparent was the victory that the
Sioux turned the rear end of the con

: Sioux Get Sassy.
A couple; of unusual incidents en
livened this . second game. In the
second inning. Burg, on first, and
Smith, on third, started a . double
steal. The two-ply theft was perfect
and Smith easily slid around Living
stone. The Sioux catcfier didn t
touch him. with the ball until he was
clear over the plate. But Livingstone
thought he'd run a bluff on Umps
Miller and - walked off the field,
throwing the ball badk into the in
field as he did so.. Promptly Joe
Burg hiked to third and then home,

In the first "half of the seventh the
