CATTLB Thsrt was a sharp falling oft
In cattls rscelpta today, there being 111
freeh loads, about 1,100 head, or leas than
half aa many as were here Monday. The
proportion of western range cattle was
about ths same aa on Monday, however,
and auppllea of the cornfrd natives were
of very moderate proportion. The market
presented no new features and prices ss a
rule were about steady at Monday's big de
cline. Comparsd with ths best Urn. a
month ago rattls are selling Just about
11.00 lower, and thsrs Is a vsry wsak un
dertone to the trade. Prims heavy beeves
brought 110.00 Mondsy, and that Is about
the out.lds figure for cattle at present.
Choice grass beeves Bold up to ll.lt Mon
day and best range cattle brought 11.60 to
day, the price being paid by freder buyers.
Cows and heifers were In limited supply
and very Indifferent demand. Compared
with Monday, thsrs wss very little change,
but the general market for she stock Is
fight around too rower than a week ago,
and slow at that.
Business In stoeksrs and fsedsrg la very
dull. The country Is not buying vsry freely
al present on account of the rush of farm
work and the liberal receipts this week
have found a vsry rastrlctsd outlet at
eharply lower prlcss, values being t0O76o
lower than a week or ten days ago.

SHEEP Umb receipts were again larger
than on most days since the rauae eeaaon
started, althoiiKh quHe a little email? than
yesterday's heavy run. Something like
forty tars or 10,400 head were here this
morning, bringing the two days' total up
to r,.IQ head. This Is nearly twice as
large as a week ago, but is over 4,000
ma Met- than for the corresponding days
of last year.
Packers came out with lower bids on the
bulk of the fat lamb offerings again this
morning, but reports from othr points were
to the effect that prices had braced up,
and seller thought the (oral trade ought
to be steady, despite the fact that supplies
were sgaln large.
Not much was done during the early
half of the forenoon, but when tradng
finally started conccsnlnns were made both
ways, some Ismbe being quoted steady, while
others looked a dime lower than the open
ing yesterday or about steady with the
finish.
Old cheap were. If anything. In somewhat
more liberal supply than on the opening day
of the week, hut demand remained good,
and prices held about steady. Fair to
pretty good ewes were bought at $7.14
7 to. with some on the plain order on
down to 17.00. A two-car lot of fed year
lings sold st 11.21.
As was sxpecled there was a merry
scramble yesterday afternoon for what feed
ers were here, prices being generally higher
than at any previous time since the range
season opened, and 16c or more above laat
week. A top of II.S5 was paid on one or'
two occasions, whlls It.OOOMt bought sev
eral bunches.

OALL MONEY IS EAST
New Tork, July II. Markst movements
todsy wsre governed almost entirely by the
caprices of profeeslonal trades. Domestic
or outside Interest was altogether negligible.
Trading was light throughout, svsn th first
hour's turnover being unusually smalt
Speculative sentiment was rather eon
flletlng, ths course of prices fa their ir
regular advances and declines indicating
faith in tnveetment Issues and further aloof
ness toward those specialties which recently
havs shown marked weakness.
More important than any development In
the market Itaelf was the offering of both
tlms snd call loans at lower rates than
sny day alnce laet week's flurry. Call money
was In free supply at 1 per cent, ths
longer maturities wsre shaded by M tl 1

Motors, munitions, some coppers and a
few high priced specialties were again eua
ceptlble to moderate pressure. Oeneral
Motors made an Initial dip of It points to

loes before the close, Willys Overland was
the market leader, but at ths expense of
additional Impairment, making an extreme
decline of 3 points to 677-1, from which
It. too, recovered In large part.
Changes In other parts of ths list repre

Tobacco shares continued to Improve, with
the exception of American Snuff, Which
lost more than 4 points. International
Nickel whs uncommonly active and heavy

Reading was the only eoncplmwug rail

degree of activity. Secondary Issues of that
group, particularly Denver dc Rio Orande,

In connection with the headway now being
