The success of Iht rloorwalker, and the fire man" makes the newest Chaplin ve hicle look inviting. It is entitled "The Vagabond." Following the Chaplin picture the Empress offers for the first half, "The Hidden Face," a three part Gaumpnt drama, featuring Iva Shepard, Alexander Gaden and a strong cast of players. "A Merry Mixup" is a Cub comedy wifh George Ovey. "The Gink Lands Again" is a Beauty comedy with Orral Humph rey in the leading role. Mutual weekly completes the first half pro gram. ' .... Starting Thursday the bill calls for "Killed by Whom?" a two-part American drama, featuring Vivian Rich and Alfred Vosburgh. "The Chaser Chased," with Rube Miller; "The Good-for-Nothine . Brat." a Centaur drama, featuring 'Margaret Gibson, and "Reel Life" complete the bill. "The Mysterious Cipher" . . f Today s Offering at Besse Dorothy Gish annears at the Besse today in "The 'Mysterious Cipher." "A Fair Rebel" is the accompanying comedy.
