Omaha Elks and Flag
Day Parade at Empress
The Omh Elks and Flag day pa
rade pictures will be shown at the
Empress the first half of the week,
beginning today. The day of the
parade was very clear and the pic
tures are distinct. It will be an op
portunity for a lot of folks to see
how they looked on parade as this
event was participated in by the larg
est number of people that ever
marched in Omaha at one time. The
Criminal's Thumb," featuring Alexan
der Gaden and Lucille Taft, is a story
of a man with a spatulatet thumb.
'Criminologists say that this thumb
is a sure sign of criminality and the
man is followed throughout his life.

"His Great Triumph" one of the
ensational feature productions of the
season,, will .be the principal attrac
tion at the Muse theater today and
Monday. Miss Snow is seen at her
best in this Metro wonderplay. She
essays the role of a daughter of a
wealthy judge, who becomes interest
ed in a youth, the product of the
slums, who comes into her life in
a most peculiar manner. The story
is based on the glorification of "But
tsy" Gallagher, an obscure character
of New York'a great east side, who
through his arrest for a murder which
he didn't commit, becomes notorious,
and mistaking it for fame, causes
many complex situations and peculiar
problems. The manner in which this
complication it unfolded, and the in
troduction of a strong contrast of
life among the wealthy class, forms
one ofas eries of situations. Included
in this program is "The Mishaps of
Musty Suffer." and Hearst Weekly.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thurs
day, by popular demand, a return en
gagement has been booked for "The
Ne er-do-Well." Many people who
tried to attend the opening nights of
the Muse were turned away, so Mr.
Shirley has decided to show it again.
' Friday and Saturday the feature
will be "Love'a Toll.'' The seventh
episode of "Gloria's Romance," with
Miss Billie Burke will also be shown.
Strand Screen Bill Is
Diversified and Pleasing
Three unusually pleasing as well as
diversified features are offered Strand
patrons this week, commencing today
when that well known screen favorite,
Bessie Barpscale, is seen in "Sorrows
of Love," a well produced story of
a ' nun's life. Fay Tincher in "The
Two o'Clock Train," is the accom-
Danvini comedv. .
For the Fourth, tlies creen's livest
actor, Douglas Fairbanks, in a com'
edy drama entitled ' Reggie Mixes
tin." This is said to be Fairbanks
test bit of screen work to date, which
is saying a whole lot, but advance
reports say "You can't speak too
highly of this picture," so you know
what to expect, cubbies ot 1 rem
bles" is the Keystone presented, and
Hank Mann has the leading part.
Friday and Saturday that Ziegfield
Follies beauty, Jose Collins, in a Fox
visualization of "A Woman's Honor."
This it said to be one of the most
daring photoplays of the season and
: Miss Collins has surprised her ad
mirers by proving that she can act an
emotional role, as well as put over
a popular song hit. Pathe's Weekly
completes the program and is full of
interesting war pictures.
