"My wife and friends," says Mr. James,, "caused me to get into the movies because I Dhotouraohed well. Unknown to me, one of my friends sent one of my photographs to a Worm director whomune knew. It happened that this director was in need of a man of my type and judged from . my photographs that 1 would screen well. He sent me a proposi tion. . I was dumbfounded and in clined to turn it down,, but my wife ana ner mends got busy and talked me into it. and here I am. I now have, a three-year contract with the Worm at a satisfying figure. "People generally think that movie acting is. a snap, but they are mis taken.
