Is Hurt When Auto

Charles Nelson, the Athalone apart
ments, driver on one of the Alamito
company'a wagons, was badly shaken
up and bruised when his wagon over
turned at the corner of Dodge street
and Thirty-second avenue. Nelson
was bound north and was traveling
slowly, when an automobile in which

Is Here, But Asleep
Governor Hiram Johnson of Cali
fornia spent half an hour in Omaha
yesterday, but he did not know it
until some time later. The governor
was enroute home, from the east,
whither he went after the adjourn
ment of the progressive Convention
held in Chicago. He waa a west
bound passenger on the Northwestern-Union
Pacific No. 1, arriving t

Before retiring Governor Johnaon
left word with the car porter that he
should not be called, as he wanted to
sleep. As a result, the governor slept
all the time he was in Omaha and for
some hours after he got out in Ne

SAM HUTCHINSON OF THE
U. P. GOES TO HOSPITAL
Word reaches Omaha that Sam
Hutchinson, manager of excursions
for the Union Pacific and Northwest
ern roads, has gone to Mercy hospital
for an operation ' for some kino of
stomach trouble. It is reported that
his condition is not critical. He is
one of the best known railroad men
in the central west, having been with
the passenger department of the
Union Pacific for some twenty years.
