EXPECT SUMMER PATRONAGE v: Bcllevue citizen have organized a club, which is yet too immature to have received a name, for the purpose of boosting "beautiful Bcllevue" as a residence town. The movement is be ing pushed by the new club, the char ter members of which are William S. Shafer, chairman; Dr. William II. Hetz, Mayor Paul Kepler, L. 1. Krion, Tohn Flynn, A. h. Dunn and C. B. 1 owcr, by the Ilcllevue college authorities and with some help from the Commercial club of Omaha. Beautify All Homes, The club's main work will be to beautify the homes in the village, to keep the thickly wooded square which dot the town in good condi tion, to improve water mains, to sell property and to furnish inducements for industrious people to make licllc vue their home. liellevue college is co-operating by offering its buildings for use as a ummer resort. Some of the college buildings will be open for summer boarders. The swimming pool will be kept in condition for constant use, The cooks who are now in the col lege employ will be retained and in addition to regular inral for board ers will furnish automobile luncheons 1o motor parties. The advantages of a beautiful country resort in close access to the city arc evident, DECATUR IMPROVEMENT MEETS" EJECTS OFFICERS The final organization of the De catur Street Improvement club was completed at a meeting held Tues day evening. The territory covered by the club's activities will extend from Twenty-fourth to Thirty-third streets, and from Charles to 1'arker streets. Among other matters brought up for tiiscussion was the question of changing the name of the club, so that it would better describe the ter ritory as at present ex tended. The officers of the club for the en suing year are: W. Seieroe, presi dent; Mat McGrath, vice president; ". Barrowcloiigh, general secretary; Mrs. E. Johnson, treasurer; Mat Mc Grath, Harry Johnson, H. If. Ganow, August Johnson and Joseph Lipscy, district secretaries. The next meeting of the club will be held June 6. Evans, who has been visiting here, has returned to San Francisco, where she now makes her home. Mrs. George L. .Curtis returned Thursday to Clinton after a few days visit with Mr. and Mrs. J. E. De Forrest Du mas, who are on a southern wedding tour, are at Stillwater this week to attend the closing festivities of Still water college, of which Mr, Dumas is a graduate.
