PRINTED FOR ARMY BOYS

tionary period.
The cover of the first illustrated
issue was designed by Bernard Nau
din, whose work is full of the atmos
phere of "Old France." At the top
of the front cover is the French
standard crossed over a stack of
arms, and at the bottom one of the
new army helmets surrounded by
laurel leaves.
The back cover presents a proud
rooster, standing upon trophies of
war, a French flag in the back

of the Cardinals has taken up quarters
for the summer at a swell country
club and that he will motor back and
forth each day in his "car." Hug-
fins has the "car" all right. He paid

gins is using the machine on dark
nights, learning to drive, with the
idea of buving a real automobile later.
