The last visiting artist of this Season of Great Treats was beard Friday at tho Alunlelpul Auditorium in the person of Leopold Oodowtsky, world famous pi anist. Mr. Uodowsky has visited Omaha several times before and his remarkable playing was therefore not entirely un known. Former hearers and new ac quaintances of the audience last night marveled alike at the logic of his music, at his concise and forceful interpreta tions, at the well constructed phrases and well defined contour of the whole In each separate number, and at the beauty and variety of his wealth of tone The musically Initiated revelled in the art with which ho clothed his masterly in terpretations, In the revealing power with which he portrayed the recondite music and in bis sure and faultless technic, so unobtrusively brilliant that the unini tiated could not discern it, except as It serd as a medium for bl.i authoritative conceptions. Mr. Oodowsky opened the program with the complete Schumann "Carnival." liach of the many short pieces which make up the whole was given wim a careful re gard for Us clmrnctcr, tonal values and artistlo and technical demands. "Leltres L'ansuutes" of Chopin, ""Hiitnlori and Columbine" and the brilliant "Marcho des Davids, buendler."
