NEW JUDGE STARTS

Judge Joseph W. Woodrough Im
poses Sentence! on Fourteen
Federal Prisoners.
TWO MANN ACT VIOLATIONS
Fourteen federal prisoners were
uentencfd to terras varying from
ihlrty days to two and a half years

of his career as a federal Judge.
The first man sentenced by him
vas Frank McCann, charged with
violating the Mann art. Judge
Woodrough sentenced him to one
jcar in the Lancaster county Jail.
The longest sentence imposed by
the new Judge was on Clyde Taylor,
who pleaded guilty to forgery of a
jostal savings bank certificate. He
was sent to the federal prison at
leaven worth, Kan., for two years
snd six months.
