as were to be expected, considering that
It was a Friday and that the market
has a downward tendency this vreek.

The trade la slow to lower. Packers
have been heavy buyers all the week
and were not In need of any additional

market for coffee futures showed a fur
ther advsnoe this morning, prices mak
ing new high records for the season, but
later, eased off under realising. Reports
of higher Braslllan markets and shipping
difficulties seemed responsible for the
opening bulge of three to ten points, and
the active months sold six to ten points
net higher during the early trading, with
May advancing to 7.2o and September
to S.OKc- Iemand was fslrly active, but
the advsnce met Increased offerings snd
Msv sold off to 7.15c. while September
declined to I.Oto In the later trading.
The market closed net two points lower
to five points higher, near months being
relatively firm. Sales were 2,7oO base;
