Are in Line Again

LINCOLN, Feb, 8. (Special.) Lincoln
republicans held a meeting last night at
the Savoy hotel, which resulted In the
formation of a Lancaster County Repub
lican club on the lines of years ago when
Lancaster county waa known far and
wide a a republican stronghold.
The meeting was called by E. D. Beach,
one of the Lancaster county members of
the state committee who presided at the
meeting. J. Held Green was made sec
retary and about forty were present, most
of whome were members of the executive
committee appointed at a previous meet
ing. Among those present were such old
wheel-horses as E. D. Beach. Senator
Rurkett, Frank Harrison, L. I Lindsay,
Joe Burns, Colonel Bl vet one, Walton Rob
erts, J. S. Bsrr, Sam- Mellck and a lot of
others who In former year were the men
who went out and stirred up enthusiasm
and got tha vote.
There wll be precinct and ward club,
with meetinga held In every precinct in
the county In the good old-fashioned way
and a big meeting frequently where all
the clube come In and take part. Tbe
meeting to perfect the organisation will
be held at the Lindell hotel on Monday
evening, February 31. when the ball will
ba set rolling In good old style.
Stender school houe to the Louisville
bridge, and on the north line from the
Stender achool house to the Platte river,
coming to a center located on the Sarah
Dowd farm five miles smith of Gretna
and five mile west of Springfield. The
start will be made at 10 a. m.

Nebraska Retailers' congress. A com
