WHEN you buy a farm, get It where it
has a future. If you buy high-priced
land you are lust trading dollars, so to
spesk. Ws have a land proposition that
. ought to interest every iarmer seeking
to better his condition. Our lands sell
at (30 to M per acre, on easy terms.
The soil is rich and fertile, the climate
fine, the water supply pure and plenti
ful; the rainfall baa always been ample
to insure crops. Until a few years ago
there wss no railroad through this sec
tion of the country, but with the ad
vent of a main-line railroad it la now
rapidly coming to the front, towns are
springing up, and In a few yeara these
lends will double and treble in value.
We have personally investigated this
land, bought some of It ourselves, and
have the agency for a limited supply.
These lands are located in western

CATTLE Receipts were liberal, but by
no means large, only 191 fresh cars being
roDnrted In. This makes the total for the
three days this week !).44 huad, (.000 bead
smaller man lor tns sams perioa last
week, but over 4,0 larger than a year
sgo. The supply consisted very largely
of beef steers and cow stuff, thors being
only a very moderate run of stockers and
feeders. The quality was poor on an av
rase, the bulk of the receipts consisting
of unfinished cornfeds.
Feeders having been scares all tha
week buyers were out looking for a tew
head early In the morning, and anything
in the way of desirable stock changed
hands in good seaaon at ateady prices.
The market on killers was a little slow,
to open, buyers being . Inclined to take
their time, but still they seemed willing
to pay about steady prices for thj gen
eral run of killers, which would apply to
cows snd heifers ss well as beef steers.
The trade on killers continued slow.
with the less desirable kinds weak to lOo
lower.

It was not until ths Isst hour of ths

refused to unload, but whsn ths fact las-
came evident that export business from
the I'nited States had virtually come to a
standstill the selling pressure broadened
to auch an extent that prices broke rap
Idly, and brought Into play a good many
stop-loss orders. Word that ths Canadian

any export demand for eats.
Weakness In the hog market lowered
