Highest nrloea vat for the 1915 oroo were reached hers to day In wheat, largely because of asser tions from Liverpool that the maximum id vanes there was still to come. Under heavy profit taking sale, however, Chi cago price closed unsettled, Vo off to So up, with May at ll.atrO-S, and July at H.36e. Corn showed a net loss of Vfc4TSo to fod Sot and oats of Wa to He. Provisions finished Irregular, vary ing from 15c decline to a rise of 36c. Hharn dirrerenoes or opinion manifested themselves In' the whiat trade at the start and there were consequent .rapid price change. The previous uncertainty and relative weakness here seemed to have been due mainly to reports that ves sel rates from Argentina had been low ered and that Increased shipments were expected from Argentina and Australia. On the other hand, export buying, that In the end was estimated at Wso.ouo bushels, helped te create bullish sentiment. Talk or the cold wave diminishing of ferings In the northwest, as well aa ner- haps doing serious damage to winter wheat was current, but the effect on prices was more than offset In the laat half hour by a rush of aalea to realise profits before the week end. The out oome waa a small net loam In the July option, where a May wound up at a lit tle advance. Expected large arrivals Mtondsy had a depressing Influence on corn. About the only demand came from Industrie. - Oata sympathised with corn, but held up better. The sustaining factor was ex port business on a liberal scale. Higher prloea on hoga gave for the most part only temporary strength to provisions. Buying orders became ex hausted and the close was weak.
