of the Matrimonial News, who claimed to
have brought about the marriage 0 20.000
couples, died here today.
Podzius also Issued a Berlin copy of his
newspaper, called the "Hdrate Zcltung."
He was a bachelor and lived as a recluse,
subsisting mainly on apples and tea.
Podzius is supposed to have made large
sums of money out of his matrimonial
newspapers. Severs! bank books were
found in his bedroom, hidden In secret
places, and sums of money In various
nooks.

ten miles east of this city, was killed

The demand In general for cash grains
very good today and there was a
substantial advance In the price of all
cereals. On account of the delayed Iran
service the receipts were light and there
were not very many sales reported. The
wheat market was strong, soiling from
lc to 2c higher.
Corn was also bullish, prices for this

Oata followed corn and wheat in the
advance and sold from lo In IWc hlirher.
Rye and barley were also strong and
made substantial advances.

Advances in the market forced quota
tions up to within lc of the highest price
record of the 191f crop. The bulgo was
checked by heavy profit taking.
Predictions of sharp falling off in re
ceipts as a result of the blizxard, and the
fact that shipments from Argentina end
Austral. a were light, end the vessel rate
from Argentine were continuing to soar
helped the bull side of the market.
Corn went to a new hljrh price record
for this season's crop going about Krtc,
despite Immense profit-taking sales by
holders. It was feared that stormy
weather would curtail receipts. Besides,
exporters were said to be active buyers,
both at Atlantic and gulf ports.
Oats advanced with corn. Improvement
In the eastern embargo situation wsi on
aid to the upturn.
Provisions were unusuallv active, with

For Press Meeting
Colonel T. W. MeCullough of The Be
will be the principal speaker at the first
of the two annual meetings of the Ne
braska Collegiate Press association, Anne
M. Johnston, president of the organiza
tion, announced yesterday In the Bellevtie
college Purple end Gold, of which she la
editor. The meeting will be held In
Omaha February IS, end several other
speakers will be Invited to address the
assemblage.

today from the New Mission church, of
which he was treasurer for many years
