We Wish You All a Merry Chrislmas
Whilo most of the world ia in the shadow of a mighty conflict
we, far from those bullet-swept battlefields of Europe, far from the
scenes of desolation and ruin, far from those millions of saddened
homes where permanent separations bring an aralancho of loneliness
we as a nation have cause to be happy in this season of happiness
and good cheer.
In our country the extent of communication is not marked by
border lines or limited service. In the United States we hare 64 per
cent of all the telephones in the world; and we rejoioe that here tha
human voice can travel many times farther than anywhere else on this
big globe of ours that electrical waves can speed from corner to
comer of this broad land and bring us voice to voice no matter where
we are.
On this Christmas Day, as the spirit of good cheer flashes over
the wires uniting the 39,060 Bell Telephones In Omaha or reaching out
to any one of the millions of Bell Telephones in the nation, we shall
be doing all we can to give quick, dependable and courteous service.
This year has been a pleasant one for us, and we hope it has been
for you. To you we extend the old, old wish, a Merry Christmas.
