HOGS Receipts were the heaviest of
the week, and tor that matter Hie heav
iest ot any one day to a long time. Some
34 loads, or 13 SuO head, were received.
This makes the week a total 63.444 head,
as compared with 27,360 houd last week,

for tha corresponding days last year.
With a big break in sight snippers did
not get In so heavily today, and what
hogs they bought were 1j4J0c lower, bulk
of their purchases being made around

Packer market started out fully 16o
lower, and with an occasional variation
to 2Uo down, continued that way through
out most of All forenoon. Light hugs,
which sold with strings, did not snow
much more than a 16c decline, but some
that were overlooked entirely by buyers
and left for the finish found the trade
a very sticky one, and bids on the lata
rounds looked aa much as 26c off. Aa a

SHEEP Supplies were extremely light
today, the run of six cars, or I.OoO head,
being the smallest for a Friday since
June. Total receipts for the five days are
t4,4 nead, a shortage or as com
pared with last week, but larger than

of almost Su.oiiO over ths corresponding
daa last year.
Supplies were not large enough to make
a market. A couple of loads of very or
dinary light lambs, wnlch sold at 1340,
were not comparable with anything here
yesterday, but war quoted steady. The
only advance abown was on another two
load shipment of clipped lambs, which
sold Vxi higher, bringing 17 1 today as
againat S7.au yesterday. Lambs have
shown a generally higher tendency this

higher than laat week, while on the
basis of comparative quotations for
choice handy weights are 2?.c higher In

Two cars of pretty good ewea which
sold steady, bringing 16.66, made up the
mutton supply. For ths week, ewes are
generally steady, Wednesday's weakness
