For Mike Is going bark to Pennsylvania for a vacation of two months and during that two months he will attend the world's series. Mike ia tha veteran tele graph operator who for thirty years has been pounding a (Western Union key at the Omaha ball park. During that time he has covered over J.OfO ball games and has served his time at the ball parka on Charles street, Ames avenue, Miami street and the present Vinton street lot. It will be Mike's first world's series, and Mike aoys it will be at Philadelphia. "The Phillies ran t lose." says Mike, "and I'll see old Hert Nlehoff and Orover Alexander and give them Omaha's best wishes and luck. And with that they'll beat those Red Box, too." Mooney la going back to Shlppensburg, Pa., for the greater part of his vacation, but the big time Is to be in Quakertown. It will be Mike's first vacation tn twenty years. He has not had a day off In all that time. Also it wUl be Mike's honey moon. Thirty-four years ago Mr. and Mrs. Mooney were married In Shlppena burg and they came directly west. Mooney has not been home since, al though hla wife has returned for several visits.
