total for the week to date of M.K24 la

than two weeks ago and a gala of about

Th snipper trade was very uneven,
and while a good many light hogs ::i
early at prlcea that were fully steady
and even a little higher In spots, soma
of the later aales looked weak to aa much

pared with the else of th receipts, ship

Packers first bids were a good big dime
lower, and although sellers put up a hard
fight, they refused to raise their offers
to any great extent, and when a trading
basis waa finally established, prices were
pretty close to a dime lower. Trade waa
draiigv all through, and it was well aloig
towartla noon batnr any sort ot a clear
ance was made.
The bulk of the killing hogs sold at
36.6Mr670, with a wprtnkllrg on either of
these figures. Shippers were scattered
all the way from 8ti.75 to 7.45, the latter
prices being the day'a top.
HHREP Receipts amounted to about
fifty cars or 16,000 head, which Is the
heaviest Thursday run In soma time, and
with the exception of Monday, the heav
iest for any one day since March. Tut-il
for the week of 67.102 head la 1G.WJ larger
than last week, 23.0U0 heavier than two
weeka ago, and 11,000 larger than a
year ago. Supplies for th four day
are th largest since January, and with
on exception th heaviest of the year
to date.
